Tours in Arequipa & Colca Canyon

In Arequipa, also known as the “White City”, its old houses, monuments and convents will open their doors to tell you about a past of legends, while the Misti volcano will be the silent witness of your journey.

There are a variety of things to do in the city such as visit the Santa Catalina Monastery or the museum where the Ice Mummy 'Juanita' is kept. The main attraction of the city is the nearby Colca Canyon where it is possible to see condors soaring on the thermals.

Tours in Puno & Lake Titicaca

In Puno, the turquoise waters of Lake Titicaca seem to mingle with heaven. Navigating over Lake Titicaca, the highest lake in the world, you will get to the Uros Island where warm people will welcome you and show you how to fish, cultivate, and sow on their bulrush floating islands. Arriving to Taquile Island, you will experience the customs of a town which keeps the ancient traditions of the Incas. Finally, you will visit the pre-inca cemetery of Sillustani where you will find circular towers of stone built to keep the remains of the principal authorities of the old people from Collao.

At the end of your trip, you will travel to Cusco, the old Inca capital and the main destination of everyone's trip. Cusco has a unique charm and provides an interesting mix of Andean and Spanish cultures. Filled with ancient Inca sites and colonial buildings sat alongside modern restaurants and upmarket cafes, Cusco has a little something for everyone.

After a short train journey from Cusco, you will travel to Machu Picchu and discover the captivating and mystic Inca city. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery and with some of the most impressive Inca buildings ever constructed, Machu Picchu is the highlight of Peru.


Reception at the airport and transfer to the selected hotel in Lima.

Afternoon tour of Modern and Colonial Lima. This half day tour visits both the colonial and modern sections of Lima. The Colonial part includes the visit to the Main Square, the Cathedral of Lima, the Government Palace, the San Francisco Convent and famous Catacombs, and the Torre Tagle Palace.

We then drive through the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, passing by the Huaca Pucllana, a ceremonial and administrative center of Lima. Culture built in the II century B.C. that the Incas considered as “ñaupallaqta” or sacred town. We will also visit El Olivar Park with olives trees brought from Spain in the XV century, the Central Park of Miraflores and Larcomar, a symbol of modern Lima and a tourist and entertainment center as well as a privileged site to enjoy an amazing view of the Pacific Ocean.

Overnight in Lima.

Early departure to the airport to board your flight to Arequipa (2,335 meters or 7,660 feet above sea level) this city is an excellent point to get acclimatized to the altitude gradually. In the afternoon, we will visit the “White City” including the most popular attractions like the Santa Catalina Convent, a beautiful citadel from the 16th century, the Main Square, the Church of La Compañía de Jesus and the colorful paintings of the San Ignacio’s Dome. Also, we will see the typical districts of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara.

Overnight in Arequipa.

You will be picked up from your hotel to start the trip through the town of Yura and Pampa Cañahuas, where you will find the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca and see many species of birds in their natural habitats, and also South American camelidos, such as vicuñas and llamas. View point of the Volcanoes and snow covered mountains in Patapampa (4,800 m.a.s.l). Arrive in Chivay (3600 m.a.s.l), capital of the valley.

In the afternoon, we highly recommend you to visit La Calera and enjoy an invigorating bath in the hot spring waters (35º-38º C) or just to spend a delightful afternoon in the hotel.

Overnight in Colca.

Very early, we will start the trip to Cruz del Condor (Condor Cross), which will allow us to enjoy a spectacular view of one of the deepest canyons in the world, and with luck, have a chance to take pictures of the biggest and most impressive flying bird in the Andes, the majestic Condor. Depending on the schedule, we could make a stop in the town of Pinchollo, the only pre-Inca town still inhabited, and the Maca town, with its beautiful craft market and colonial church.

Miradores of Choquetico and Antahuilque where you can see the stone mock ups that Collaguas people used to test which parts of the canyon are suitable for cultivation. This is a good place to appreciate the Andean valley of the Colca. Also you can observe hanging pre-Inca tombs. Return to Arequipa.

Overnight in Arequipa.

Transfer to the airport to board your flight to Puno (3,827 meters or 12,555 feet above sea level). Arrival and transfer to selected hotel.

Overnight in Puno.

After breakfast, transfer to the jetty to start the boat excursion to visit the incredible floating islands where the inhabitants still live like their ancestors. The Uros live in huts made of layers of totora reeds.

Each island is inhabited by between 30 and 50 people. It is considered one of the oldest towns of America, keeping its customs and traditions. The Uros call themselves “Kotsuña” (people of the lake).

After this we will visit the Taquile Island, located at 35 km from Puno, where you will see the customs of the settlers, who are famous for their handicrafts and typical clothes.

In the afternoon we will return to Puno. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.

Overnight in Puno.

Guided visit to the pre-inca cemetery of Sillustani at the Shores of the Umayo Lake. Admire the Chullpas: circular towers of stone built to keep the remains of the principal authorities of the old people from Collao. The ruins are 32 km away from Puno on the way to the airport of Juliaca. Transfer to your hotel in Puno.

Overnight in Puno.

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the station to take the tourist bus to Cusco. On the way, we will stop at La Raya, highest point on the road between Puno and Cusco, from where we will get excellent photo opportunities. Then, visit to the Racchi Ruins, the Temple of God Wiracocha. Continuing with the journey, stop in the charming town of Andahuaylillas to visit its beautiful church. Lunch at local restaurant on route.

Overnight in Cusco.

In the morning, Cusco City Tour, visiting the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Sun Temple or Koricancha.

We continue out of the city to visit nearby ruins: Kenko, Tambomachay, Puca Pucara, and the amazing Sacsayhuaman Fortress, built tactically in a hill, dominating Cusco, famous by its huge carved stones assembled with accuracy that astonish, forming the external walls of the complex.

Some of these stones exceed the 9 meters (29.50 feet) high and weigh more than 350 Tons (771,617.80 pounds). Return to your hotel.

Overnight in Cusco.

Departure for the Sacred Valley Tour. Visit the Pisaq Market (Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday), where you will experiment the customs of the settlers otherwise you can visit Pisaq Ruins (Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday). Buffet lunch in a Valley local restaurant.

In the afternoon go by Calca and Urubamba on the way to the Ollantaytambo Fortress, built to guard the entrance of this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions of the settlers of the jungle; this is made up by a series of terraces (each one put on top of the other). We will have the chance to walk by the mini streets of the town and with this have a good idea how was this military, religious and cultural center during the Inca Empire.

On the way back to Cusco, visit the picturesque town of Chincheros where you can find the ruins of the Royal Farm of Tupac Inca Yupanqui. Admire its well preserved Inca wall in the Main Square; visit the beautiful colonial temple with interesting frescos in the porch, built over the base of an Inca Structure.

Overnight in Cusco.

Transfer to Poroy or Ollantaytambo station to take the train to Aguas Calientes. At your arrival, you will take the bus up to Machu Picchu and explore the great “Lost City of the Incas”.

Once there, you will take a guided tour, visiting the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Intihuatana (sacred solar clock), the Royal Rooms, the Three Windows Temple and the Cemeteries. After the tour, you will have time to explore the Sanctuary on your own.

In the afternoon, take the bus down to Aguas Calientes. Transfer, on your own, to the station to take a train back to Poroy or Ollantaytambo Station, where a bus will be waiting for you to transfer to Cusco.
